Since its founding in 1972, Lippman &
Semsker has represented hundreds of individuals, both
in the government and in private industry, in employment-related
claims, including discrimination based on race, gender,
sexual orientation, age, national origin, religion, and
disability, as well as harassment and retaliation cases.
We have a broad range of experience handling complicated
claims representing individuals, multiple plaintiffs,
and even class actions.
If you are a federal employee and you believe you have
been discriminated against, you must act quickly. As a
Federal sector employee, you must file an informal complaint
with your EEO office. This informal complaint must be
filed within 45 days of the occurrence or the claim will
be rejected on the grounds of timeliness. Once the informal
complaint is filed, there is an elaborate set of steps
the EEO office must follow, including conducting an extensive
investigation and giving the individual the right to obtain
a hearing before an administrative law judge. During the
course of this entire process, which could take six months
or many years to complete, you have the right to be represented
by counsel.
Lippman & Semsker is intimately familiar with this
process and has represented scores of individual with
their Federal Sector EEO complaints. Whether you chose
to have an attorney represent you from the beginning of
the process or at some point during the course of the
process, Lippman & Semsker can assist you. We can
represent you at the hearing stage before an ALJ or even
in an appeal to the Office of Federal Operations.
